Noteworthy Classification Features:

This addition to the main building of Thornton Township High School is resembles a cube in its massing with a flat roof. The first floor is clad in brown brick; the upper floors are clad in green brick with a stone parapet wall. Two notable features are the blue glass block in a geometric pattern above the entrance, and a ventilation screen made of anodized aluminum with green and red painted metal tiles. The entrance is covered by a flat roof awning clad in aluminum and supported by two angled granite clad pillars, and flanked by two quarter-round anodized aluminum canopies.
