Nominations for Board Candidates
Members vote to elect the Board of Directors at the Annual Meeting. Members in good standing can nominate someone to be placed on the slate of candidates for election. A “member” is a person who has filed a Landmarks Illinois membership application and has paid their annual dues. Nominations from the floor are not accepted. To nominate a new board candidate, 10 or more members acting jointly may put forward the name with the nominee’s consent. The name of the nominee and the 10 members must be sent to the Chairperson of the Board Development Committee no later than June 8, 2022, 14 business days prior to the annual meeting. The nominee will then be presented to the membership as part of the slate of candidates. Email your nominee’s name and contact information, proof of their consent and the consent of 10 members or more to Bonnie McDonald at firstname.lastname@example.org and your email will be sent to the committee chair. Proof of consent includes an email from a member, showing the member’s email address and signature with their affirmative support for the candidate or a copy of another signed document.
