Slate of Board Candidates

The following Slate of Candidates for new and renewing two-year terms on the Board of Directors will be put before the members of Landmarks Illinois for approval at the Annual Meeting on June 27, 2023 at noon. Only members in good standing are allowed to vote on the slate of candidates.

Members in good standing with Landmarks Illinois are able to put forward the name of a nominee for election to the Board of Directors. According to Section 5.4 of Landmarks Illinois’ Bylaws, 10 or more members acting jointly may put forward the name of a nominee for election to the board with the nominee’s consent. The name of the nominee, and the 10 members acting jointly, must be made in writing to the Chairperson of the Board Development Committee no less than 14 days prior to the annual meeting (which would be June 7, 2023, in business days). The nominee will then be presented to the membership with the slate of director nominees at the annual meeting. Email your nominee and proof of the consent of 10 members or more to Frank Butterfield at fbutterfield(at) and your email will be sent to the committee chair.

Bylaws sections allowing for an electronic vote of the members:

  • Per Bylaws Sections 4.1, 4.2, 4.5 and 4.6: members of LI are defined as those who have filed a membership application and have paid their dues. A member is provided with one vote on questions posed at the annual meeting.
  • Per Bylaws Section 5.8: the annual meeting is to be held in the last quarter of the fiscal year. The Bylaws do not designate a method by which the annual meeting has to be held (in-person or virtual). It is left open. Additionally, there is no specific section of the Bylaws that dictates that our meetings must be held in-person.

No nominees from the floor

We do not take nominees from the floor. They must be sent in writing according to Section 5.4 of our Bylaws, which is described above.
