Annual Meeting

2025 Annual Meeting

Join Landmarks Illinois for its 54th Annual Meeting, a free virtual gathering of members and preservationists from across Illinois. Members have the opportunity to elect Landmarks Illinois’ Board of Directors who are governing at a pivotal time in the organization’s history as we begin to implement our Transformational Plan. Hear an Annual Report from our Chief Operating Officer, Frank Butterfield, about what members’ support has made possible this year including our advocacy successes, grants and loan recipients, preservation easements, networking gatherings and other organizational activities. Our featured presentation focuses on federal government actions that are affecting historic preservation across Illinois, including regulatory challenges, staff cuts and cuts to grants and incentive programs. President and CEO Bonnie McDonald will review what has occurred, what more is anticipated, what preservationists can do to during this volatile period and what Landmarks Illinois is doing to support our community. The Annual Meeting is a free, virtual program open to everyone, but only dues-paying members can vote for the board member Slate of Candidate.

Notice to members re: submitting board member nominees

Members in good standing with Landmarks Illinois are able to put forward the name of a nominee for election to the Board of Directors. According to Section 5.4 of Landmarks Illinois’ Bylaws, 10 or more members acting jointly may put forward the name of a nominee for election to the board with the nominee’s consent. The name of the nominee, and the 10 members acting jointly, must be made in writing to the Chairperson of the Board Development Committee no less than 14 days prior to the annual meeting (June 4 in business days). The nominee will then be presented to the membership with the slate of director nominees at the annual meeting. Email your nominee and proof of the consent of 10 members or more to Bonnie McDonald at bmcdonald@landmarks.org and your email will be sent to the committee chair.
