Auditorium Theatre, Chicago
“There
is no place quite like the interior of Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre—one
of Adler and Sullivan’s masterpieces,” states Dennis Scott, Landmarks
Illinois member and silent film organist.
“The colors, the stencils, the ornamentation, the murals, the art glass
skylights and the soft carbon filament lighting make the space magical.
The acoustics, thanks to Adler, are perfect. It’s one of the greatest
examples of Chicago’s rich architectural heritage.”
