Multi Figure Sculpture: soldier, sailor and angel. 100 year old Soldiers and Sailors Memorial at the northwest corner of the courthouse grounds. Quick Description: Statue of a WWI soldier and sailor in protective arms of an angel, atop a stone base in front of the Coles County Courthouse. Long Description: Weathered and blackened with age, the monument commemorates locals who gave their lives in World War I.
