Graceland Cemetery Tour Highlights

Louis Sullivan Society members enjoyed an informative tour of Chicago’s Graceland Cemetery with Henry Kuehn. Graceland Cemetery embodies an outstanding landscape design achievement, created by the vision of some of the nation’s most significant landscape designers and engineers. Graceland’s exceptional landscape is interspersed with superb monuments, which exemplify the finest late-19th and early-20th century art, architecture, and craftsmanship.

Mr. Kuehn serves on the national board of the Society of Architectural Historians, is a trustee of the Graham Foundation, and is a member of the executive committee of the Chicago Architecture Foundation.

LLS Open House
Highlights

Sullivan Society members were invited to an Open House at the Louis Sullivan designed home of Jessica and Lucien Lagrange this September. Noted Sullivan scholar and Professor David Van Zanten, author of "Sullivan's City", spoke informally to the group about Louis Sullivan and the Lagrange’s unique house.
