Do Landmarks Illinois (LI) members get a discount?
Yes, LI members receive a
discount of $10 off the two-day registration. Membership will be checked
upon receipt of registration. If you are not a current member, please

Do members of the Illinois Association of Historic Preservation Commissions (IAHPC) get a discount?
IAHPC is offering FREE 2014 membership with full two-day conference registration.
How do I make an individual registration?
(1) Select a Registration Option.
How do I make multiple registrations?
It is IMPORTANT that when using the Online Store for "multiple conference registrations" that each individual registrant's name, meal and event preferences be entered. This is accomplished by:
Speaker and moderator registration is FREE. Do speakers and moderators still need to register for the conference?
Yes, if attending paid or free events including the CAMP mentoring program. You have two options: (1) Use the “Speaker/Moderator” link on the Registration page, if attending paid AND free events. (2) Use the Registration Form (pdf) on the Registration page, if only attending free events. You may mail, email or fax this form to Landmarks Illinois.
Why didn't I receive the registration confirmation emails?
This seldom happens, however when it does we have found the following to be possible reasons. The web server for our Online Store generated an error during the checkout process due to a server timeout or the email address that was typed into the customer information field during checkout was incorrect. In both cases, please contact us at 312 922-1742 and we will work with you confirm that your order has been placed.
What if I prefer to not place my order online?
Landmarks Illinois gladly accepts orders, memberships, and special event registration by phone at 312-922-1742. Also, please check our main website for registration and membership forms in PDF format that can be mailed or faxed to us.
The secure server software used by Landmarks Online Store E-Commerce website encrypts all your personal information, including credit card details, name and address. However, please do not "email your order" with credit card information to Landmarks Illinois, as we cannot guarantee the privacy or security of information transmitted via unsecured or unencrypted email.
How do I place an online order on your website?
• Click on Events, Membership, Contributions or Merchandise from the top navigation bar or side menu on our Online Store.
• To add a Merchandise item to your order, enter the quantity you wish to purchase into the "Quantity" box shown on the product detail page and then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the "Add to Basket" button.
• Please note that for Preservation Conference Registration and other events there are exceptions to using the "Quantity" box. Instructions for these events will be noted on their respective Online Store pages.
• You can check your "Basket" at any time by clicking on "Basket Contents" on the top or bottom navigation bar.
• When you are ready to checkout click the "Checkout" button on either the top or bottom navigation bar. This will begin your checkout.
• Complete the customer information page.
• Complete the payment details and follow the prompts.
• Please note that you may change your order or stop the process at any time. Your order is not placed until you click on the "Send" button at the bottom of the secure order form that requests your credit card number.
• After placing your order, a Confirmation page will show a summary of your transaction.
• Please print the Confirmation page for your records using your browsers print button. We recommend that the page be printed in "landscape".
• An email version of this order summary will be sent promptly.
• A second email credit card receipt will also be sent. Note that this email subject line will read “Receipt from Landmarks Preservation”.

What forms of payment do you accept online?
We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
When is my credit card charged after I’ve placed my order?
Your card is charged when the order is placed.
How do I know that my order has been received?
When you submit your online order we will reply to the e-mail address you have given us to confirm all your order details, including products ordered and total cost. A second email will be emailed as a receipt for the credit card transaction. Note that this email subject line will read, “Receipt from Landmarks Preservation”.
Can I delete an item that I have chosen before completing the order?
Yes. Once you have placed an item in your Online Store Shopping Basket it will remain there until you proceed to process your transaction or leave the Landmarks Illinois website. You can access your Shopping Basket at any time, from any part of the Online Store website, by clicking the "Basket Contents" button located on the top or bottom navigation bar. There, you can amend the quantity or alternatively remove an item altogether by clicking the "Remove" button.
Can I cancel or make changes to my order after it has been submitted?
Our goal is to process and ship your order as soon as possible. And once an order begins the process, we might not be able to modify it. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we hope that our fast processing time works to your advantage. But, if you contact us right away by telephone, we may be able to stop shipment on your order and refund your credit card.
Ship To and Bill To Information
Please enter your contact information into BOTH columns. Due to the inflexibility of the software, we are unable to remove the “If Different” text next to “Bill To” or remove it as a required field. We hope to migrate to flexible software in the future.
Is it safe to use my credit card?
All orders are encrypted so that they cannot be read as they travel over the Internet. Landmarks Preservation Council of Illinois (Landmarks Illinois), operator of the Online Store, makes every reasonable effort to ensure that all of the transactions that occur on our Online Stores website are secure. All credit card numbers submitted to the site are encrypted using "Secure Socket Layer" (SSL) encryption. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate procedural safeguards to secure the information we collect online.
What will you do with my name and address?
We will use the information you provide us to process your orders. We will not sell, rent or trade your personal details with any other companies.
Landmarks Illinois is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of our online guests, customers and donors. All information is kept confidential and is not shared with any other organization. Personal information such as addresses and phone numbers are gathered solely for the indicated purposes of providing you with information about upcoming exhibits and events, or to send you purchases and receipts. Our lists are never sold. Our website does not attach unsolicited Active X or similar programs to your computer and we do not issue "cookies" except as necessary to operate the shopping cart feature of our Online Store.
Do you charge taxes?
Sales tax is not assessed for Event Registration, Tickets, Membership or Contributions. Illinois sale tax is charged for merchandise sold to Illinois residents.
How much shipping and handling will I pay?
US Postal shipping costs are included in the cost of merchandise items on our Online Store.
Do Landmarks Illinois members receive a discount?
Yes. Discounts are available on special events and merchandise. Check the appropriate Online Store section for membership pricing.
Your web pages are wider than my computer screen.
Try setting your monitor to a resolution of 800 x 600 or higher (832 x 624, 1024 x 768, etc.). To change monitor settings for Windows users, go to Start Menu/ Settings/ Control Panel: Display. To change monitor settings for Mac users, go to Apple Menu/ Control Panels/ Monitors.
Which web browser should I use to view your site?
We recommend you use version 6.0 or higher of Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you have a previous version, you can download a free copy of the latest version at the Microsoft web sites. Our site does not contain pop-up ads of any sort. We do, however, utilize features that open new browser windows. This practice may be interfered with by some pop-up blocker software.
Printing pages of this site.
Pages of this site can be printed using your browser Print button. Pages will print best if you change the Page Setup to "landscape." Within the browser, go to File and select Page Setup to change from portrait to landscape print mode. Then OK the settings and go to Print.
