2011 Highlights

October 14 – Glenwood/Roger’s Park, Chicago

1.  “Pub Crawlers” at the Buffalo Bar, 7000 N. Glenwood, which is inside of The Heartland Café.  2.  Walking under the CTA viaduct along Farwell Avenue in Chicago’s Glenwood/Roger’s Park neighborhood.  3.  The Dimestore String Band performed at Duke’s Bar, 6920 N. Glenwood. Built as a stable, the structure has housed a bar since the 1930s.  4.   LI members Judith and Peter Greene at Act One Pub, 1328 W. Morse Avenue, which is part of the historic Mayne Stage Theater complex.   5.  The Glenwood, 6962 N. Glenwood, occupies a historic 1920s commercial building.   6.  “Pub Crawlers” in front of the Buffalo Bar.
