residence was
William H.
Knight, whose wife
was the
daughter of Hinsdale's
founder,
William Robbins. The
home sits
on a prominent corner
lot and
the current owner has
demolished
all but some of the framing of the building for a new
structure.
Hinsdale has lost 25%
of its
housing stock to the
teardown
phenomenon in the
past ten
years.
