Landmarks Illinois has worked since 1971 to save great architectural treasures. However, this work has been done in partnership with many community leaders who have supported our efforts. Annually, we gather more than 600 supporters to fete our successes and recognize those who have made them possible. The Legendary Landmarks Celebration has honored noted Chicagoans since 2006 for their contributions to the city’s civic and cultural legacy, and their belief that a great city is defined by its legendary architecture. Join Landmarks Illinois to support and celebrate the transformational impact of Chicago’s legendary people and places.
