The following is a list of recipients for Landmarks Illinois' Preservation Heritage Fund grant program for the counties of Bond, Calhoun, Clinton, Jersey, Madison, Monroe, Randolph, St. Clair, Washington.

 

         
 

 

Alton, Madison County
YWCA


This Colonial Revival-style building has been in continuous use since it was constructed in 1918. A $7,000 matching grant in 2008 is for tuckpointing and masonry repairs to the three-story brick structure.
 

 
 

 

     
         
 

 

     
 

 

Elsah, Jersey County  
Farley’s Music Hall


This wood structure was built in 1885 and a second story was added in 1900.  Currently the town’s community center, the building was restored after the Mississippi River flood of 1993. The Historic Elsah Foundation used a $2,000 grant in 2007 to repair the building’s siding. Elsah is 15 miles northwest of Alton in Jersey County.
