Harwood-Solon House
The Preservation and Conservation Association (PACA) received this 1867
Tuscan-style villa as a gift in December 2005. PACA used its $5,000 grant
in 2007 for roof repairs and stabilization. After placing preservation
easements on the exterior and portions of the interior, the property was
offered for sale to a preservation-minded owner. Since being placed on
Landmarks Illinois' Ten Most Endangered Historic Places list in 1999, the
property has been designated a local landmark and listed in the National
Register of Historic Places. |
