This 17-acre property facing Lake Michigan includes a mansion by architect Howard Van Doren Shaw and grounds designed by landscape architect Jens Jensen. The gardens have been fully restored over the past decade and rank as one of the best early-20th century landscapes in the Chicago area. The property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

However, its future is clouded by federal property forfeiture proceedings linked to the recent criminal conviction of the property’s current owner, insurance executive Michael Segal.
