Nine award winners for excellence in historic preservation were honored at an October 14, 2006 ceremony in Chicago. Landmarks Illinois and the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation hold this annual event to honor outstanding individuals and preservation projects throughout the state. The 2006 winners include a restored Frank Lloyd Wright stable, a Sesquicentennial Farm in Kendall County, two affordable housing projects, and the state’s youngest National Historic Landmark.
